Fran is a native Basque. Born and raised in Pamplona (the city of the running of the bulls in Spain). He has been leading for a local tour guiding company for the last 20 years. Since 2003 has been organizing small boutique tours of northern Spain.

Colleen Murphy
Colleen is a professional tour guide, working for Rick Steves’ Europe since 1992, and leading small-group tours worldwide. An American with an adventurous spirit, she has guided, studied or traveled in more than 35 countries in Europe, Central and South America, North Africa and Asia— and will soon be leading tours in Morocco and Vietnam.

Colin is a Scotsman living in Auckland New Zealand, who speaks Spanish, French and Portuguese and is married to a Mexican. Talk about being a global citizen! Colin started his tour guiding career in 2009 and has worked as a freelance tour guide since 2012.

Holger is a Rick Steves Tour Guide. Born in Berlin, Holger works part of the year as an Arts and Culture correspondent for a Berlin Radio Station. For the other weeks, he's a first-rate tour guide for Rick Steves.

Lisa is an American expat. Originally from Seattle, she has lived in Piemonte Italy since 1997. She has been guiding tours for Rick Steves and privately since 1999 and working on a personal blog since 2016.

Jorge Roman
Jorge was born and raised in Málaga, Andalucía, Spain. He has worked in the tour guiding industry for the last 24 years. He is experienced organizing small tours groups in Spain and Portugal.

Anna Piperato
Anna is a Licensed Tour Guide for Siena, its Province, and Beyond. Passionate, prepared, and, as her college professor called her, “la Piperatissima”! A native English speaker fluent in Italian, Anna now calls Siena home.

Nina was born and raised in Denmark, but since 1993 she has lived in Avignon, France. She offers local tours in the South of France, National tours in France and Denmark, and is a Rick Steves' tour guide in Scandinavia.

Sarah Murdoch
Sarah Murdoch, Guide Collective founder, is a tour guide, travel writer, artist, architect, and lecturer. For 20 years, she has written and researched for Rick Steves guidebooks, and co-authored “Rick Steves Sicily.” Through her blog and travel community, Adventures with Sarah, she offers tours around the world, along with packing advice and travel inspiration.

Andrew Villone
Andrew is an American ex-pat living in Slovenia since 2014. He leads tours in Slovenia, Croatia and throughout Central and Eastern Europe. He loves sampling local food and drink and discovering the more ‘off the beaten path’ type of places.

Along with her work as a veteran tour guide and guidebook researcher, Trish is the founder and CEO of thetravelphile.com where she provides insightful travel advice, helpful travel classes, exciting tour opportunities, and custom travel consulting.

Patrick Vi
Born and raised in France, Patrick has been a tour guide for 25 years. Now working mainly with Rick Steves and leading his own hiking tours in France, he lives in Brittany where during the low season he renovates houses.

Born, bred and still resident in Scotland, Liz is a Blue Badge Guide who shares a deep pride and fascination in the country of her birth. Passionate about introducing and interpreting Scotland, Liz’ aim is to educate and inform – but above all else to have FUN!

Roberto Bechi is a native of Siena, one of Tuscany’s splendid medieval cities. He runs small van tours in the Tuscan countryside, city walking tours, and customized small group tours of the whole Bel Paese since 1995 through his tour operator company, Tours by Roberto.
